This is a LYNX. Can you believe they apparently allow you to own a lynx in Florida as long as you pass a really tough course on owning one. Daryl and I were on a cruise a few weeks ago, and we met a couple from the ship who took us to their friends house when we returned to show us their lynx. That is actually my hand petting it....I Swear!! They have to fly in frozen packed meat from who knows where, thaw it and feed it raw. What really amazed me was the fact that they owned it on just under an acreage of land in the center of Ft. Lauderdale on a horse farm! They also owned a parrot, turtles, goats, ducks....sounds like a walking grocery store for this special cat...yikes. As you can see they keep it on a harness and rope. It has it's own cushioned chair and special "cat" room in the house. It apparently jumps up on the counters, and sleeps in bed with them. The cat is fairly young, it's paws were HUGE! I loved just sitting there petting that georgous cat! Wonder what my horse would think of her. :) Pictures of the cruise to come.

Beautiful animal, but not sure I'd want it as housepet -- and wow, the expense alone would require a second job!! : ) That's pretty cool that you got to pet it -- I'd love to be able to have contact with one up close and have it be tame enough to pet!
